Concrete admixture has many types, polypropylene fiber is one among of them .
Concrete admixture is a new technology of concrete technology. It has many varieties and small dosage. It plays an important role in concrete modification. What are the classifications of concrete admixtures? Huajie building materials explains:
According to the classification of (gb8075-87), concrete admixtures can be divided into four categories according to their main functions
1. Admixtures to improve the rheological properties of concrete mixture: including various water reducing agents, air entraining agents and pumping agents
2. Admixtures for adjusting the setting time and hardening performance of concrete: including retarder, early strength agent, accelerator, etc
3. Admixtures for improving the durability of concrete: including air entraining agent, waterproof agent, rust inhibitor, etc
4. Additives for improving other properties of concrete: including air entraining agent, expansion agent, antifreeze, colorant, waterproof agent, pumping agent, etc
According to the name and definition of admixture (gb8075-87), the admixture can be divided into 16 names, which are defined as follows
1. Ordinary water reducing agent: an admixture that can reduce the amount of water mixed and used under the condition that the slump of concrete is basically the same;
2. Early strength agent: an admixture to accelerate the development of early strength of concrete;
3. Retarder: an admixture to extend the setting time of concrete;
4. Air entraining agent: it can introduce a large number of evenly distributed, stable and closed micro bubbles in the process of concrete mixing;
5. Superplasticizer: admixture which can greatly reduce the water consumption of mixture under the same condition of concrete collapse;
6. Early strength water reducing agent: water reducing agent with early strength and water reducing function;
7. Retarding and water reducing agent: a water reducing agent with retarding and water reducing functions;
8. Air entraining and water reducing agent: admixture with air entraining and water reducing functions;
9. Waterproof agent: an additive that can reduce the water permeability of concrete under hydrostatic pressure;
The production technology, quality control, application technology and variety selection of concrete admixtures are more important than other engineering materials. The application of concrete admixtures is extensive. At present, admixtures have been called the fifth component of concrete
